Prof. Dr. Cecília Nunes Moreira
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Pelotas (1998), Master in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Pelotas (2001) and PhD in Animal Science from the Federal University of Goiás (2006). She was a substitute professor at the Cattle Clinic Discipline (2001/2002) at the Federal University of Pelotas. Since 2002 she's currently Associate Professor I, 40 h DE, Federal University of Goias - REJ-GO. She was a CNPQ-2 researcher from 2009 to 2012. She works mainly in the following areas as a professor and researcher: Large Animal Clinic, Veterinary Clinical Pathology (clinical biochemistry and hematology), Veterinary microbiology, food microbiology and molecular biology. Her researches currently focuses on Escherichia coli STEC and EHEC in animals and food, phenotypic and genotypic characterization, adhesion profile, epidemiological traceability and risk factors for animal and food contamination.
