ABSTRACT
The healing process of dental sockets is one of the most important parts of postoperative therapy for extraction of pathological elements in horses. The healing time of the surgical site is crucial for health because, the longer the healing time, the greater the chances of bone and alveolar contamination from the natural contamination of the oral cavity. A lot techniques and orthosurgical approaches are described in the literature, being used in the least invasive technical news possible, depending on the type of trauma, affected tissues and location of the problem. The use of materials and products for healing are used inside the dental socket, in an attempt to reduce the healing time, inhibit regional contamination and quicker the patient's return to sports life. The use of plateletrich plasma and plasma rich in fibrin, are already widely used in human dental routines, for example, and also with great chances of use in equine dental routines. Recent advances in equine dentistry, show a significant increase in early diagnosis of pathologies of the stomatognathic system, as well as knowledge of the area by veterinarians, who seek surgical treatments less and less invasive and with results with reduced time. Thus, the use of platelet-rich plasma and fibrin-rich plasma has shown satisfactory results in the healing of equine dental sockets.
