The Graduate Program in Animal Bioscience (PPGBA / UFJ), at the Master's level, approved by the CAPES 742/2015 process with a score of 4, has one field concentration: Animal Health and Production. During the four-year period from 2017 to 2020 had three fields-of-study: Biotechnology, Diagnosis, Epidemiology and Disease Control in Animals; Animal Morphophysiology, Clinic and Surgery and; Animal Nutrition, Production and Reproduction. After self-assessment and maturation of the program, from 2021 onwards moved to two fields-of-study: FIELD 1: Human, Animal and Environmental Health; FIELD 2: Biotechnologies Applied to Bioscience and Sustainable Animal Production.

The Program's Identity is Regional Social Insertion
Mission:
To train researchers and professionals of excellence to work in teaching, research, and extension, with a multidisciplinary vision, and promoting the social insertion of these professionals, based on regional and national demands. The researchers trained in the Graduate Program in Animal Bioscience will be able to generate knowledge and innovation in the area of animal, human and environmental health, and the development of new biotechnologies for animal production in a sustainable way in the Brazilian Cerrado biome.
Vision:
To consolidate the Animal Bioscience program, in a newly created public university, at the regional level and later expand to the national and international insertion until 2029. This program aims to promote activities that improve the quality of human and animal life, present in agricultural production, through the training of human resources, who will develop research and extension activities, focused on sustainable regional development.
